You Look Just Like Me

Author’s Note: This Five Paragraph essay is all about human cloning and why it’s a waste of time trying to create one. This piece should answer the following questions: What is Cloning? Should humans be cloned? What are the risks of cloning?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to clone yourself or someone else? Human cloning would be a wonderful gift to humankind, but nobody really considers the negatives. People don’t know cloning a human is a difficult task and they don’t really understand the topic.
First of all, before we discuss why cloning is difficult, we should know what it is first. Cloning is a procedure where a similar copy of a living object is made. DNA is collected from desired living organism that is to be copied. First animal to be cloned was a tadpole, but the first animal with a vertebra to be cloned was Dolly the sheep. (Lefers)
Secondly, the reason why human cloning is a somewhat hard task to achieve is simple. The human body is more complicated than an animal’s body. So if to say, successful animal cloning is 1or 2 out of a hundred, then human cloning would be extremely difficult and rarely possible. Several scientists and physicians stoutly consider that it would be unprincipled to try to clone humans. (Cloning Fact Sheet)
Lastly, you probably may not know the risks of cloning, but no need to look down upon your limitless Knowledge for I shall educate you in this topic. Reproductive cloning is expensive and highly inefficient.  Greater than 90% of cloning attempts turn out unsuccessful to produce feasible offspring. Over 100 nuclear transfer procedures may possibly be necessary to generate one viable clone. (Cloning Fact Sheet)
There are several other ideas and inventions that would be as beneficial as cloning. The idea of cloning was introduced to people by a movie, so hasn’t anyone ever told you not to believe what you see on TV? This is because it’s full of baloney. People can’t always depend on clones and besides, it’s virtually impossible to create a human clone.
